Hi. This is an orange faced guy. I resisted the urge to fill his face with spots. I still put some yellow dots though. But he's about the simplest one I think. Since I first posted this guy I repainted the eyes with a blue-tinted white. I painted out the pupils so he looks kind of like he's wearing a mask now. Thanks for looking!

Daily Lowbrow Painting: Eggman sculpture

Hi. I've been lazy the last few days but here's a sculpture I finished this last week. Qee makes these blank eggman vinyl art toys for like 40 bucks for people to custom paint but I figured I could make my own pretty easily. So this guy is made from Sculpy over a wire and foil armature. I like these arms and legs better than the Qee version. Really I just made the figure to paint. He goes well with my Munny and Qee vinyl guys. I sanded him pretty good but he still has a hand sculpted surface. He's 9" tall and just about that wide. Thanks for looking!

Hi. This wood face is based upon the pink bunny one I did a few days ago. This new one is a little goofier, though. Just using the top teeth makes it more skull like. Then the huge eyes under the small ears give him a bit of a different look. So now I have ten wooden faces complete. Thanks for looking!

Hi. Once again I made a new face on poplar. Here's a lowbrow folk art type devil painting with horns. I'm going to have to get a picture of all these faces hanging together. They go great together as a group. I still have to figure out what they are. They're paintings but sculptural. They're kind of like folk art but also like lowbrow comic book illustration. Doesn't matter anyway I guess. It's really cool when I put the last black ink job on them and they come to life. Thanks for looking!
